opps same day as WAC grass AT
It is a shame the CMC & WAC autotests clash.
The CMC event has run on the same weekend for at least 12 years and is in a large fabulously smooth field and has a free BBQ. I know which event I'm entering . . . today.
Excellent event for beginners and occasionally company cars and hire cars !
Is there any reversing??

I agree Jim , we had to move from the our date - Richard Burns Rally
the following week is out AX.
However we are in disussions to try and move this, it would be a shame for 2 local ones to be held on the the same day, ours is also on grass at Southminster the last one in our championship. I think he may be using two joining fields so that should be good.
I will keep you posted.
Wasn't last year.

Hi Jim I can confirm WAC have moved there Grass Auto test to Sunday 21st September.
6 Entries so far, so we need a few more.
I have seen the test diagrams and can confirm there is no reversing.
We could also do with a couple more marshalls.
See you on the 7th

Likewise, I'm in two minds about entering with the Cloverleaf the day before.
For those not entering the Cloverleaf, lets get those entries in. Give the organisers some hope.
For the Cloverleaf guys, entries on the day are fine - but just get there early if you can.
Richard
Very sensible comments from Peter Brewerton ref Priestley entries on forum. I do feel for Rich Bakers comments but also understand the organisers perspective.
Lets get the club autotest back on the top of the forum page - how are the entries Dave ?

I have posted here to get the IMMINENT Grass Autotest on top of the forum.
The result of the "I'll get the rally car fixed over the summer holidays" statement can be seen in our garage.......
......no prizes if you guess whether the car is still in bits or not!
Owen Turner / Matt Augustine - Rover 1400
(Dave I think Owen has emailed you and he said he tried to call Suzanne)

Dave J, well done on organising and running the autotest on Sunday, and Richard P for preparing the tests before hand.
The weather certainly made is very interesting and very different to the usual dust bowl. The right decision was made to finish up early, and save the venue for the future. Hopefully the landowners are OK.
Well done to Owen Turner - yet another CMC pot in his possession, and to Brian Pettit in being only a couple of seconds behind.
Clearly, Owen is not only wickedly fast when he needs to be, discretion was the better part of valour on Sunday, with a deft touch and a light right boot being the order of the day.
Lord knows where Dave 'Leadfoot' would have ended up, had he been there in the Sierra!!!
Great day - shame about the weather this time round.
Richard

Well done to all concerned - especially the juniors (Good comeback GM!)
I wished that I could have been there, but true to form I didn't check the car over until Saturday afternoon, which is when I found the gearbox had emptied itself all over the drive. Ho hum.
Rich Baker.
that was the best autotest i've been to in ages - tricky tests but not impossible. I think the weather made it more interesting, shame we had to end early but made perfect sense. Thanks to organisers and marshalls. Now have to see if I can keep the mud stuck to the car until the gymkhana
Yep good event, thanks to the marshals who braved the sharp shower just after lunch. Thanks also to all the other competitors (could have done with a few more) - especially those in the open topped cars who braved not only the weather but also the odd splatter of mud in the face. I'm very pleased with my result finishing just behind the autocross experts, Jim seemed to fade in the afternoon having a bit of trouble with his rear end in the wet!
